QIU Expands Chinese Education Linkage with Nanning Vocational and Technical University MoU

QIU has expanded our cross-border education linkage with China after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nanning Vocational and Technical University (NVTU).

Both institutions recently joined forces to promote academic and non-academic education, helping students to broaden their international horizons, improve their professional skills and enhance their competitiveness in the international workplace.

Through this partnership, students will have the opportunity to study in both Chinese and Malaysian institutions, where they will receive quality academic support and opportunities to study abroad—helping them to grow from the influence of international experiences and perspectives.

Students will also have the opportunity to undertake internships at Huawei’s eco-companies and related organisations in Malaysia. Huawei is a global leader in ICT (information and communications) infrastructure and smart terminals, and has a far-reaching influence in the industry; this valuable internship experience will help students stand out in the workplace.

The agreement was signed by Global Integrated Training Associates Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Goh and NVTU Principal Zhou Wang.

Our newest partner is a college providing full-time higher vocational education that boasts a graduate employment rate of over 90 per cent. Sponsored by the Nanning Municipal Government, NCVT is co-administrated by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Nanning Municipal Government. In November 2009, NCVT was recognized, for the first time among Guangxi’s vocational colleges, by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China as a “National Demonstrative Vocational College.”

The wide-ranging cooperation will also see both parties working to provide short-term vocational skills programmes and establishing joint overseas study sites, combining language learning and technical training to enable students to move towards all-round development. In the future, QIU and NCVT will collaborate to facilitate faculty, skill and cultural exchanges.

To our latest partners, welcome to the QIU family!
