This is the second big win notched up by our talented medical students, after they won a national intervarsity surgical quiz last year.
The iftar was spearheaded by QIU’s Student Life Division and Gerakan Pengguna Siswa club.
This priceless opportunity came along after Dr Angeline sat for the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)—a pathway that gives all QIU medical students the chance to specialise and practise in the US.
The tradition symbolises the grandeur and importance of becoming a doctor, signifying the students’ entrance into the medical field.
This latest victory adds to our tradition of sterling performances in academic and non-academic competitions, be it on the state, national, or international level.
Under the “Inspiring Speech,” theme, Jasreena related her speech to her Psychology major, addressing the critical issue of substance abuse and advocating for positive change.
The convocation was presided over by QIU Council Chairman Dato’ Sri Dr Vijay Eswaran and QIU Chancellor Tun Arifin Zakaria.
