Our Bachelor of Arts TESL freshman, Vinod A/L Selva Raja, topped the podium at the recently concluded UTAR Chess Open Competition 2024 in the IPT (higher education) category.
QIU joined forces with the Malaysian Institute for Debate and Public Speaking (MIDP) to establish a Centre of Excellence for Soft Skills Education (COESSE).
The event aimed to raise awareness of the importance of special needs education, early identification, and early intervention.
MELTA is a voluntary, not-for-profit professional national-level organisation that aims to contribute towards the advancement of English language education in Malaysia and the region.
Under the “Inspiring Speech,” theme, Jasreena related her speech to her Psychology major, addressing the critical issue of substance abuse and advocating for positive change.
Only ten students were chosen from Malaysia—and two of them were from QIU!

Held in conjunction with World Autism Awareness Day, the event promoted neurodiversity and inclusivity.
