The Malaysia Book of Records recognition honours the enduring legacy of famed Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar, who is believed to have authored the Thirukkural over 2,000 years ago. The collection of 1,330 couplets is widely regarded as one of the greatest works of Tamil literature, offering timeless wisdom on ethics, governance, love, and spirituality that continues to resonate across cultures and generations.
The event also received support from the Ministry of Education Malaysia and the Perak State Education Department, further underscoring the significance of preserving and celebrating Tamil literary heritage among younger generations.
