QIU Strengthens International Education Cooperation with Sichuan University of Science and Technology

Quest International University (QIU) has taken another step forward in expanding its international footprint in China through a recent engagement with Sichuan University of Science and Technology, reinforcing the university’s commitment to fostering cross-border academic collaboration and talent development.

A QIU delegation led by Global Integrated Training Associates (GITA) Chief Executive Officer Mr Nicholas Goh recently visited Sichuan University of Science and Technology for an exchange meeting focused on strengthening educational cooperation between the two institutions. Discussions centred on academic progression pathways from diploma to bachelor’s and postgraduate studies, international education initiatives, and the development of globally competitive graduates.

During the meeting, both parties explored opportunities for credit transfer arrangements, joint education and training models, and collaborative approaches to nurturing talent equipped to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. They also exchanged ideas on educational resource sharing and the establishment of sustainable academic progression pathways that would benefit students from both institutions.

The visit builds on QIU’s growing network of strategic partnerships across China. In recent years, the university has established collaborations with several institutions including Shandong Drug and Food Vocational College, Nanning Vocational and Technical University, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Nanjing Normal University of Special Education (NNUSE). These partnerships have created opportunities for student mobility, joint academic programmes, research collaboration, vocational training initiatives, and specialised postgraduate education in fields ranging from healthcare and food sciences to special needs education.

Together, these initiatives reflect QIU’s broader vision of creating meaningful international pathways that connect students and educators with global opportunities while strengthening educational ties between Malaysia and China. By expanding its network of academic partners, QIU continues to provide students with access to diverse learning environments, international perspectives, and enhanced opportunities for academic and professional growth.

The engagement with the Sichuan University of Science and Technology further deepens mutual understanding between the two institutions and lays a strong foundation for future cooperation, academic exchange, and collaborative talent development.
