This prestigious honour recognises Prof. Datuk Dr. Allan’s exceptional contributions to the pharmacy profession over a career spanning more than four decades.


The agreement reflects both parties’ shared vision of nurturing talent, advancing research, and creating stronger linkages between academia and industry.


This initiative, a collaborative effort between QIU, Klinik Kesihatan Buntong, and the Perak Women for Women Society (PWW), targeted residents of Flat Harmoni Buntong.


The session attracted a diverse audience, including legal professionals, industry experts from the manufacturing and services sectors, representatives from MICCI Perak, and academics from Politeknik Ungku Omar and QIU.


Drawing from four global frameworks in higher education, the webinar highlighted the importance of innovative teaching strategies that foster critical thinking, effective communication, meaningful collaboration, and global engagement.


The partnership will see both institutions offering a specialised postgraduate programme tailored to the unique requirements of special education, aiming to strengthen the pool of highly qualified educators who can support and uplift students with special needs in both Malaysia and China.


More than just a gastronomic event, the two-day celebration served a higher purpose: 100% of the proceeds were donated to Ray of Hope, a local charity that empowers youth with special needs.


At the heart of the agreement is a shared vision to tackle the twin challenges of limited arable land and the adverse effects of climate change.


A founding member of the International Doctoral Education Research Network, Prof. Vijay brings decades of experience from the University of Otago in New Zealand and Universiti Putra Malaysia.
