Postgraduate students from Quest International University (QIU) gained firsthand insights into Malaysia’s Chinese primary education system during an educational visit to SJK(C) Sam Chai in Ipoh recently.
Organised by the School of Postgraduate Studies (Education), Faculty of Social Sciences, the visit brought together postgraduate students from China enrolled in QIU’s Master of Education, Master of Special Needs Education, and PhD in Education programmes, as well as postgraduate lecturers.
The QIU group was warmly welcomed by Mr Yip Chee Kheong, Chairman of the school’s Board of Directors, and Madam Wong Mei Leng, Headmistress of SJK(C) Sam Chai.

During the visit, participants learned about the school’s history, vision, mission and curriculum. They also observed classroom teaching, toured the school’s facilities and engaged in a dialogue with teachers. These experiences provided a closer understanding of the school’s curriculum practices, learning environment and cultural traditions.
The visit enriched the students’ academic learning and intercultural understanding while strengthening the relationship between QIU and SJK(C) Sam Chai.
QIU extends its sincere appreciation to the school’s Board of Directors, Headmistress and teachers for their warm welcome and generous sharing.
