STUDENT-RUN AD AGENCY
A revolutionary idea in Malaysian higher education, Ad. U is a full-spectrum advertising agency run entirely by mass communication students from Quest International University’s (QIU) Faculty of Social Sciences. The budding agency provides a broad range of marketing communication services for print, broadcast, and social media to businesses across Malaysia. The Ad. U initiative aligns with QIU’s mission to provide experiential learning opportunities to students so they graduate with job-ready skills. After roaring into the spotlight recently with its first project for HOGA Gaharu Tea Valley, the sky is the limit for Ad. U and its cohort of student creatives.
GREEN FOR IPOH
The ‘Green for Ipoh’ event was organised by QIU Communication students under the supervision of QIU faculty members, in partnership with the lpoh old town (Kong Heng square) community and endorsed by the Perak Tourism Board. conceived to combine community action with environment-themed creativity. The event aimed to heighten awareness about the perils of climate change by putting ideas into action through various mass communication platforms.
ME & EARTH DAY
Me & Earth Day was an ‘Ecotainment’ event in collaboration with Polyware Sdn Bhd. where the main objective was to create awareness on eco-enzyme and this was delivered to participants through instruction in the ways of producing eco enzyme from fruit peels. Besides this, the lake purifying activity, which consisted of pouring eco enzyme into the lake at the Polo Ground, was very meaningful as it was in line with the Perak state government’s mission to sustain Ipoh as the cleanest city in Malaysia.
