About the Faculty of Computing and Engineering

The future of work will be fundamentally driven by technology as we are already witnessing today with the emergence of generative AI, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Intelligent autonomous machines in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 will be able to blend the physical and cyber realms into a single seamless experience to produce orders of magnitude higher in productivity and efficiency than we can imagine, in emerging industries such as Electric Vehicles, Green Renewable Energy, Smart Manufacturing, Precision Agriculture and Virtual Healthcare.

There will therefore be a massive perpetual demand for computer scientists, engineers, and technopreneurs who can conceptualize, develop, and innovate creative solutions to address new problems that hitherto have never existed. The rapidly changing field of computing and engineering means skills will be quickly obsoleted while new ones arise.

Suitable degree programs and research activities in computing and engineering have been developed by our faculty that will help future-proof your career by providing you with the platform to re-engineer and re-invent yourselves continuously. Trained with cutting-edge knowledge,  high cognitive skills, and rich learning experiences, students are encouraged to work in multidisciplinary teams to research, develop and innovate solutions for real-world problems, serving as a learning vehicle to practice the knowledge and skills learned. This will ensure them to be job-ready or in the case of those with a more enterprising passion, start-up support can be facilitated to help bring their ideas to market.

Join us on this incredible journey to learn, advance and trailblaze new opportunities.
