25 FBM STUDENTS GRADUATE PUBLIC MUTUAL BERHAD FINANCIAL PLANNING PROGRAMME

Twenty-five of our Faculty of Business and Management (FBM) students gained invaluable financial planning experience after they officially completed a Young Graduate Entrepreneur Programme today, organised by Public Mutual Berhad.

Held over a period of two weekends, the programme consisted of a Financial Planning session on Jan 12 and 13, and another session covering network building, sales presentation, regular saving, and EPF saving on Jan 26 and 27.

Besides boosting their financial planning acumen, our students also improved their interpersonal relationship and presentation skills–increasing their employability rate in the process.

The graduation ceremony was attended by QIU Chief Operating Officer Mr Nicholas Goh and Public Mutual Senior Branch Manager Mr Foong Kuan Mun, who led a six-person team from the company.

In his address, Mr Nicholas thanked Public Mutual Berhad for inculcating valuable knowledge to our students, noting that they had garnered essential know-how from the programme.

He underlined the importance of learning skills like financial planning and interpersonal communication from top industry players like Public Mutual Berhad.

Meanwhile, Mr Foong congratulated the graduates, highlighting their hard work, creativity, and commitment to improving their personal development.

On behalf of QIU, we’d like to express our gratitude big thank you to Mr Nicholas and Mr Foong for attending today’s graduation ceremony.

We’d also like to thank everyone from QIU and Public Mutual Berhad who made this programme a resounding success. We hope to see this programme at QIU again very soon!
