QIUP Council Chairman meets business students

Quest International University Perak Council Chairman, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Sri Dr Vijay Eswaran met business students for a meet and greet session at the campus today. He spoke on the topic “Disruption and Entrepreneurship” to about 100 students from the Faculty of Business, Management and Social Sciences.

The students were very enlightened by the Council Chairman’s talk which centred around how to be a successful entrepreneur. He stressed that the key attribute required is hard work. The talk was followed by a very engaging Q&A session.

Dato’ Sri Dr. Vijay Eswaran is a highly respected motivational speaker, and lectures around the world on a variety of subjects ranging from spirituality to business. He has spoken at leading universities, management and business & leadership forums such as World Economic Forum events and Commonwealth Business Forums at CHOGM.

He has been named in Forbes Asia’s annual list of Heroes of Philanthropy in 2011. He was awarded the lifetime achievement award in Regional Philanthropy by leading independent think tank – Asian Strategic Leadership Institute in Malaysia or ASLI at the 3rd World Chinese Economic Forum. He has also been conferred with the International Leader in Global Business Strategies award by the GOPIO, the Global Organisation for People of Indian Origin.

Dato’ Sri is also a best-selling author who has also penned the highly successful book In the Sphere of Silence, a book on life management that has been hailed widely in different countries in multiple languages. He also has four other books to his credit – In The Thinking Zone, 18 Stepping Stones, On the Wings of Thought and his recently launched book, Two Minutes from the Abyss. He also regularly contributes to newspaper columns in Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
