It was a busy morning at Quest International University Perak (QIU)’s Applied Sciences Building as it welcomed new students for the October 2019 intake.
Adding to the general merriment, were the numerous booths set up by various faculties to provide in depth information to both students and parents about the respective programmes students have enrolled for.
Besides local students, this intake for the foundation, diploma, degree and postgraduate programmes saw parents and students from India, Sri Lanka, UAE, Maldives, Netherlands, Syria, Pakistan and other countries completing the half day registration procedure.
Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Nicholas Goh in welcoming everyone thanked parents for entrusting their children’s future in QIU’s hands. He assured them that the university will constantly guide students to realise their academic goals.
“You can be assured that QIU aims to produce graduates who are job ready. We are proud to say that we recently launched a revolutionary student-run advertising agency called Ad.U.
“This agency will provide a broad range of marketing communication services for print, broadcast and social media to businesses across Malaysia. This is just one of the many initiatives of the University to provide real-world experience to undergraduates.
“With 41 countries represented on campus, our students will surely get an international experience which is part of how we prepare students for the working world, he said.
He added that the doors of lecturers and professors are always open to help students in need of guidance.
On hand to welcome the students were Deans, Deputy Deans, Heads of Departments and the Student Representative Council. The students will undergo an orientation programme next week before commencing class.
