In business, it is often said that a company is only as good as its employees, and a university can only be as good as its staff and students. QIU came together to celebrate its staff in style, by holding an Oscar Night-themed Gala Dinner at Ipoh’s Weil Hotel. Organised by the QIU staff club, the glamorous dinner saw our staff having an absolute ball while dressed to the nines.
In attendance were Chief Operating Officer Mr Nicholas Goh, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dato’ Dr Raman Narayanasamy, deans, deputy deans, department heads and staff members representing the various University departments. The night’s events were lively and exciting. Awards were handed out to recognise long-serving QIU staff who had served the University for five years, and the best-dressed staff of the night.
Multiple lucky draw sessions had the audience on the edge of their seats, while the entertaining live band and emcee crew kept the excitement flowing throughout the night. It was truly a wonderful night to build camaraderie and unite as a QIU family. Congratulations to the Staff Club for putting on a smashing show, and thank you to everyone who helped make the event a resounding success.
