Collecting data and interpreting it correctly is pivotal to acquiring useful and usable information and to make the most informed decisions. Understanding this, Dr Sandheep Sugathan from the Faculty of Medicine at QIU recently delivered a 2 day webinar workshop titled “Hands-On Data Analysis Using SPSS”.
The session was attended by over 50 participants from various organisations such as The Crayon Group, Netherlands, Tarlac Provincial Hospital, Philippines, University of Sri Jayewardepepura, Sri Lanka, Sharda University, India, Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Science and Research, India, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India, Borneo Marine Research Institute, Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Sarawak General Hospital, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, Universiti Malaya, and many more.
Mr. Pugazhandhi Bakthavatchalam from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India commented that the sessions were very informative while Ms Malathi Karalasingam from Institut Latihan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia expressed that the webinar improved her understanding of statistics. Participants were very grateful to Dr. Sandheep as he took time to clarify all questions stressed Dr Leong E Li from Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun.
Dr. Sandheep kept the webinar interesting by injecting examples of how interpretation of data is useful and participants benefited tremendously through the lively interactive sessions.
