QIU’s Heart-to-Heart with Science series successfully continued today, as we hosted yet another noted expert to share their scientific expertise.
We were thrilled to welcome noted plant tissue culture expert Associate Professor Dr Sreeramanan Subramaniam, Senior Lecturer and former Programme Manager for the Agrobiology, Entomology and Parasitology programme at Universiti Sains Malaysia’s School of Biological Sciences.
Dr Sreeramanan gave us a window into his wide range of experiences and expertise gained across his career.
He covered topics like advancing agriculture for future generations, plant cryopreservation and novel interdisciplinary methods.
The insightful talk, which was attended by QIU Vice-Chancellor Dato’ Dr Raman Narayanasamy and Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology Prof Dr Vilasini Pillai, was well-supported by students and staff alike.
The University would like to thank Dr Sreeramanan for sharing his expert knowledge with us, and we look forward to more illuminating scientific talks during the Heart-to-Heart with Science series.
