Themed “Community AI Resources Employment,” the initiative encouraged students to explore AI-driven solutions tailored to community needs.


The latest accolade belongs to School of Biological Science senior lecturer Ms Hemalatha Murugaiah, who grabbed the Best Oral Presentation Award at the Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand Growth Triangle (IMTGT) Bioscience Conference 2025.


The collaboration will focus on two key research projects: investigating anti-ageing gene expression in human cells treated with a combination product; and evaluating the cell profileration effects of these compounds on normal and cancerous human cells.

Ms Law Yee Chin’s award-winning presentation brought to life the finer points of the ‘Reezy’ project she recently led at QIU, which sought to make the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) relatable and actionable in daily life.


Held on campus, this workshop focused on three objectives: sharing strategies to prevent physical injuries among the elderly; discussing the importance of creating and maintaining strong support networks; and communicating the best techniques to promote their emotional well-being.
