QIU academics are making a habit of winning awards at international conferences, and the Faculty of Business and Management‘s Dr Tanaraj Krishna has notched up our latest success.
Dr Tanaraj, who is the Head of QIU’s School of Accounting and Finance walked away with the Best Paper award at the recent 1st International Conference on Engineering, Medicine, Management, Arts and Sciences (EMMA) 2021.
Organised by India’s Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology, the conference saw over 100 research papers presented by academics from Indonesia, Australia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Europe. Dr Tanaraj’s paper was one of the 10 best papers selected from the field of top researchers.
This isn’t Dr Tanaraj’s first award at a conference either. In September 2021, he won the Best Presenter Award at the 4th International Conference for Accounting, Research and Education (iCARE) 2021.
So what was the paper about?
“The study examined the perception of Malaysian accounting professionals regarding the influence of institutional pressures on the adoption of Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standards (MPERS),” he told us.
“It furnished some early evidence on the MPERS adoption in Malaysia and brought some fresh perspectives by examining the existence of institutional pressures on the adoption of MPERS.”
Fantastic stuff Dr Tanaraj! Congratulations once again on winning yet another accolade for QIU!
