Throughout your time in university, you’d probably have read your fair share of academic journals.
Journals present the latest discoveries, research findings and prospects to the public. They are markers in history and references for researchers and policymakers.
Well, we’re proud to tell you that QIU’s latest academic journal, the Quest International Journal of Medical and Health Sciences (QIJHMS), has been registered with MyJurnal—an index under Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education!
Under the careful stewardship of editor-in-chief, Assoc. Prof. Dr Bedanta Roy, our academics and students address some fascinating issues in today’s medical world. Predictably, many of them deal with COVID-19 and its effects on health. They include:
- Omicron infections in children: Do we need to worry?
- The impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the depression, anxiety and stress level among undergraduate students in a university
- Alzheimer’s disease in the era of COVID-19 pandemic: A mini-review
Dr Bedanta Roy said the MyJurnal registration was the culmination of years of hard work from our students and lecturers, as well as strong support for the journal from the Patrons, editorial board members, peer reviewers, and the authors.
“We can all take pride in this feat, which has taken almost three years to achieve,” he said.
“The quality of the academic articles are a credit to the university, and we hope that they will be a valued source of knowledge and information to the medical community in Malaysia and beyond.”
The QIJHMS is available here on MyJurnal, and here on QIU’s own site. Congratulations to Dr Bedanta Roy and everyone who played a part in this invaluable academic collaboration!
