QIU Accounting Students Appointed ACCA Student Ambassadors

Yet another feather has been added to QIU’s cap, as two of our Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) students have been appointed as Student Ambassadors for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Malaysia.

Third-year students Enithraa Elanggova Kumar and Rachel Anthony Lim Su Yen did us proud after they received their appointments recently.

The duo will be representing ACCA as brand ambassadors to share information, network and organise events pertaining to ACCA in the University and beyond.

Their achievement signifies a strong recognition of our capabilities in the eyes of the ACCA, a professional accountancy body known throughout the world.

The ACCA Student Ambassadors’ Programme was launched in March 2019 as a platform for accounting students to connect and be mentored by young ACCA members.

According to the ACCA’s website, the Student Ambassador Programme is part of ACCA’s vision to develop future leaders in the accounting profession with the seven professional quotients of success: intellect, creativity, emotional intelligence, vision, experience, mastery of the digital world and technical skills.

Among other objectives, the programme aims to provide guidance and support to fellow ACCA students in developing the highest ethical, professional and technical standards, while also developing the commercial and interpersonal skills and talents of Student Ambassadors to enhance their future employability.

Enithraa and Rachel stood out from the competition thanks to their passion for sharing knowledge on accounting and their outstanding leadership abilities.

Expect both of them to gain invaluable experience and understanding of the accounting world as they network with other ACCA students around the region.

Congratulations and well done to the both of you!
