QIU’s Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) programme is designed with the specific purpose of developing managers and accountants of value. This programme is a four-year full-time programme.

 

The QIU Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) degree is a four-year full time programme which was designed with a specific purpose to prepare graduates to become managers and accountants. This programme is designed to equip graduates with an in-depth understanding in the areas of accounting and finance, including financial accounting, assurance, taxation, corporate finance and financial management.

Graduates from this programme will gain valuable hands-on experience through an attachment to industry as part of their practical training. Crucially, the curriculum content is tailored to the specifications set by professional bodies such as MIA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA (Australia) and MICPA. This programme prepares graduates for a wide range of career possibilities in the accounting and finance industry, including the “Big Four” accounting firms.

Matriculation / FoundationA minimum CGPA of 2.50 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level
General Certificate of Education Advanced (”A”) LevelPass in two (2) subjects and a credit in Mathematics at O level
Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)Pass STPM or its’ equivalent with a minimum of Grade C+ (CGPA 2.33) in any two (2) subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level
Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM)Pass with a mimimum grade “Jayyid” and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)A minimum of grade B in five (5) subjects including Mathematics
Recognised Diploma in a related fieldPass in Diploma in Accountancy or its’ equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
Other QualificationsOther equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
