Sunway Multicare Pharmacy Joins Forces with QIU for Scholarships, Academic-Industry Collaboration

In our pursuit of providing industry-guided learning opportunities and support for our students, QIU has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with community pharmacy leaders Sunway Multicare Pharmacy.

The agreement will see both parties collaborate on offering merit-based scholarships to deserving pharmacy students, as part of their commitment to provide opportunities and access to quality education.

At the same time, the tie-up will explore internship programmes and job shadowing—where QIU students will be able to experience a day in the life of professional pharmacists. Guest lectures, workshops, company visits, and alumni engagement activities will also be planned.

Combining both parties’ considerable academic and industry resources, the partnership will also see us working together on research projects, giving our students the chance to engage in a wider range of research activities while advancing pharmacy knowledge.

The memorandum was signed by Global Integrated Training Associates Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Goh and Multicare Health Pharmacy General Manager Ricky Lim Li Qi. On hand to witness the signing were QIU Registrar Muhammad MG Omar and Multicare Health Pharmacy Business Development Manager Ahamad Azrin Bin Kamaludeen

With over 70 outlets across the country, our newest partner will be a powerful ally in providing a comprehensive range of hands-on, experiential education—joining other industry leaders like HTM Pharmacy, Alpro Pharmacy, and India’s Al-Shifa College.

After today’s signing ceremony, students were also given the chance to engage with Sunway Multicare Pharmacy executives, who shared more insight on career and scholarship opportunities.

To our latest industry partners, welcome to the fold! We look forward to improving pharmacy education with you!
