The inaugural Accounting and Mathematics Quiz for high school students was recently organised by the Faculty of Business, Management and Social Sciences (FBMSS). This competition was initiated with the aim of promoting Accounting and Mathematics while rewarding learners and schools who excel in the subjects.
The competition which attracted 21 teams from various schools in Ipoh, proved to be an excellent platform to test the skills of the students and help develop their Mathematics skills in more fun and exciting ways apart from what they have learned in schools.
In an inspiring opening speech by Chief Operating Officer of Quest International University Perak (QIUP), Mr Nicholas Goh said that QIUP has always been at the forefront in launching landmark initiatives aimed at enhancing the knowledge of the country’s student population while also offering various programmes for the development of the accounting professionals including business leaders. He also added that the University has decided to go a step further by offering the QIUP Foundation Studies Scholarship awards to the champions of the competition.
