Festivities are a time of sharing with the less fortunate. It is with that in mind that Quest International University Perak in partnership with Vijayaratnam Foundation organized a “Box of Love” event in conjunction with Christmas. These boxes were distributed to 2 deserving homes which were Asrama Bintang Rumah Wanita Cacat Infant Jesus Convent which has 50 residents and Pusat Pemulihan Jiwa Wanita Tambun which has 100 residents.
The “box of love” is a small gift that staff and students prepared to be given to the residents of both homes. They purchased a small item for around RM10-00 and wrapped it in a box and presented it to the residents. Residents at these homes are aged between 30 to 85 years old.
At the gathering, our students entertained the residents with performances. This was followed by distribution of the “boxes of love” to the residents and spending time mingling with them.
