QIU’s dedication and commitment to the safety and welfare of our students remain top priority. With the recent increase in the Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, the university decided to hold an E-Orientation for the October batch of students instead of the originally planned face to face session.
The orientation was held on Google Meet. On hand to welcome the students were QIU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Zita Mohd Fahmi, our deans and several department heads.
In her welcoming address, Prof Zita explained how QIU’s blended teaching and learning mode of online and face to face classes s would provide a high-calibre university experience for the students.
“It has always been the trademark of this university to ensure that you receive quality education – only this time you’ll be learning from the comfort of your own home and come to campus when it is safe to do so,” she said.
Students then had the opportunity to listen to the various department heads of the university explain their functions to ensure the students had all the support required.

The online orientation did not deter the creativity of the students. At the end of the orientation, students showed off their talent through the QIU Got Talent session where they performed online.
