QIU SIGNS EXCLUSIVE DEAL TO BE PERAK’S FIRST IDP IELTS COMPUTER-DELIVERED TEST VENUE

Quest International University (QIU) has signed an exclusive deal that will make the university Perak’s only computer-delivered IDP International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test centre.

Thanks to the agreement between QIU and IDP IELTS Malaysia, the public from Perak and neighbouring areas now have a convenient centre to sit for the highly sought-after test. Previously, the closest computer-delivered IDP IELTS test centre for Perakians was located in Penang and the Klang Valley.

The deal was cemented at a recent Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) ceremony, with the agreement signed by Global Integrated Training Associates (GITA) Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Goh and Head, IELTS Operations, Malaysia Ravi R. Krishnan.

The IELTS exam is one of the world’s leading international standardized tests to assess the English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. To work, live or study in an English-speaking country, those who are considering migration must be able to demonstrate a high level of English language ability.

The IELTS qualification helps them find job opportunities and integrate into the community, as it is recognised by over 11,000 employers, universities, schools and immigration bodies— including 3,400 universities and colleges in the US.

We are proud to expand our partnership network and provide a public service that will benefit the community,” said GITA Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Goh. “People from all over the state—including our students—have access to a globally-recognised English proficiency assessment that opens windows of career and life opportunity across the world.

“QIU aims to be a major language centre in Perak and this agreement adds to our credentials. We are committed to provide a comfortable and convenient experience for all IELTS candidates.”

IELTS Operations Head, Malaysia Ravi R. Krishnan said: “IDP’s vision is to ensure that the IELTS test is made available at every main town in Malaysia so that any test takers can reach a test venue within a reasonable time. Ipoh’s test venue is the 9th IDP-IELTS Computer-delivered IELTS venue in Malaysia and IDP is planning to establish its 10th venue by June 2023.”
