QIU Links with China Railway Engineering Corporation to Create Internship and Employment Opportunities

In a significant step toward strengthening international collaboration, Quest International University (QIU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Railway Engineering Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd—a subsidiary of China Railway Group, one of the world’s largest engineering and construction firms.

This partnership with a subsidiary of one of the Fortune Global Top 500 companies will set the stage for a host of exciting mutually beneficial collaborative programmes spanning the realms of talent development, research, and industry-academia exchange.

Signed by Global Integrated Training Associates Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Goh and Chen Gang, Managing Director of China Railway Engineering Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd, the agreement will create internship and employment opportunities for QIU students, joint research projects, and skill development programs tailored to meet the demands of the global construction industry.

In addition to the signing ceremony with CREC Malaysia, our leaders also cemented the collaboration at a signing ceremony in China with CREC Guangzhou Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CRECGZ), further strengthening our bonds with our latest international partner. We were graced by the presence of
Zou Zhiyong, General Manager of CRECGZ’s International Business Division, who signed the agreement as well.

Specifically, QIU will recommend students to the China Railway Engineering Corporation for internships or job placements, establishing a long-term partnership in talent development.

This will be a fantastic opportunity for students from across the globe to build a career in a company famed for massive successful megaprojects.

Both parties will collaborate in research endeavours, share resources and technologies, and accelerate the transformation and commercialization of research findings.

The MoU also outlines provisions for organizing joint career fairs and facilitating study visits for QIU students to gain firsthand experience in large-scale infrastructure projects. Both institutions will also explore additional areas of mutual interest, ensuring the partnership remains dynamic and responsive to evolving educational and industrial needs.

Nicholas emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, “This partnership aligns with our vision to provide students with real-world industry experience while contributing to global talent development. At QIU, we are moving away from rigid educational framework, replacing them with experiential industry-based guidance.”

“We guide students to be lifelong learners who are continuously looking to grow and progress. We are excited to work with a world-renowned organization like the China Railway Engineering Corporation  in pursuit of our goals”

This collaboration marks an important milestone in QIU’s journey toward internationalization and enhancing its global academic and industry network.
