The signing ceremony brought together both institutions in a shared commitment to academic excellence and educational innovation. The agreement reflects a joint vision to nurture future-ready graduates equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in today’s competitive landscape.
The MoU outlines several key areas of collaboration:

Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mah Siew Kien, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Engineering Prof. Dr Lee Chee Leong, and other QIU leaders.

Speaking at the ceremony, QIU Chief Operating Officer Nicholas Goh expressed enthusiasm over the collaboration, stating that the partnership was more than a formal agreement—it was a symbol of shared values and a mutual dedication to empowering the next generation.
“The university has a great interest in collaborating with ViTrox, because we share a lot of values. We believe in what they do—producing industry-ready graduates,” said Nicholas. “Our partners’ close work with the industry also mirrors our own.”
Dr Koay added: “We see a lot of our local talent go overseas, and this is an issue we’re working to address. We carry out work-based learning from the third semester, as we want our students to work side-by-side with engineers in the field.”
“This MoU represents a very good chance to work together and create a link from Penang to Ipoh.”
All of us at QIU welcome ViTrox College to the fold as our latest partner. Here’s to a fruitful collaboration!
