It’s time to celebrate another memorable moment for our medical students!
Our pre-clinical students have won a silver medal in the Intervarsity Anatomy Innovation competition earlier today, battling to the second spot amidst a tough field of medical institutions throughout the country.
They won second place amidst other teams from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), IMU University, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, and Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed Malaysia).
Participants were tasked to design innovative, interactive, informative anatomy-themed booths and convey educational information about the human body in an engaging way to the public. Our students showcased their talents through fun-filled anatomy games—ranging from a flashmob to augmented reality which attracted audiences of all ages.
Aside from building their confidence and communication skills, this competition also benefits the community, who had the chance to learn more about human anatomy and healthcare.
Our stellar students who put their names in the spotlight are:
- Laavanya A/P K.Rajantheran
- Rehashinee Sathiyananthan
- Anish Singh
- Monika Paramesevam
- Guruprashant Nair Ravintheran
Their success is the latest impressive accolade for the Faculty of Medicine, continuing a tradition of winning and excellence on a national and regional intervarsity level.
Congratulations to all our students and their faculty representative Associate Professor Dr Deepa Kandaswamy!
