When it comes to grasping the intricacies of a complex subject, there is nothing better than experiential learning. As the proverb goes, “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand”.
At QIU, we want to give our students every chance to hone their skills in an industry setting, and we’re constantly building connections with industry partners to provide those opportunities.
The most recent addition came today, via a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Health Lane Family Pharmacy—an award-winning national pharmacy chain with more than 200 chains countrywide.
The agreement will see both parties cooperating on student and staff development, including internships, study and industrial visits and information exchange in the areas of learning, teaching and research requirements.
QIU and Health Lane also agreed on academic, research, and development collaboration in the near future. Overall the partnership will be another step forward in our efforts to holistically blend theoretical lessons and experiential learning.

Health Lane joins a storied list of industry partners from the pharmacy industry, including Sunway Multicare, HTM Pharmacy, and Alpro Pharmacy, among others.
The memorandum was signed by Global Integrated Training Associates Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Goh and Health Lane Key Engagement Senior Pharmacist Choo Suit Won, while Faculty of Pharmacy Deputy Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr Ng Yen Ping and Health Lane Human Resource Manager Chooi Eeleng witnessed the signing.
We welcome our latest partners and look forward to the positive impact this collaboration will have on boosting our pharmacy pedagogy!
