Defending Perak Hockey League champions QIU Eagles recorded a 4-2 win against Kerian District Hockey team to get their 2019 campaign off in style in their opening match of the TNB-MSN SUPER-QUEST-MBI Perak Hockey League today.
It was an excellent start for our charges in their first group match, which was held at Ipoh’s Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey stadium.
This year’s tournament sees 9 teams battling it out for the coveted title. Our boys are in Group A, where they are joined by Kerian Hockey Team B, UPSI Muallim and Muallim Hockey Association.
Meanwhile, Group B consists of 2018 runners-up MBI, Highlander Boys, Hilir Perak, Politeknik Ungku Omar and Kerian Hockey Team A.
The Eagles played well and controlled the game for this deserving win. Congratulations to our hockey team and we are rooting for you to win the championship again this year.
