Organised by our Faculty of Medicine, the fourth session in the series focused on the role of mental health in managing non-communicable diseases.


Building on previous pharmacy student-led campaigns that addressed issues such as skin care, cardiovascular health and women’s health, this year’s initiative aims to highlight the importance of bone, joint and muscle health across all ages — from posture and device-related problems in children to injury prevention in working adults and fracture risk in older adults


The engaging young man also walked away with the Best Business Innovation Award, bringing his total prize winnings to RM6,000 along with the winner’s trophy.


Designed to spark action and awareness among the public, the event transformed sustainability into something tangible, fun, and family-friendly.


This initiative, a collaborative effort between QIU, Klinik Kesihatan Buntong, and the Perak Women for Women Society (PWW), targeted residents of Flat Harmoni Buntong.


This year, we again partnered with nonprofits to provide the residents of a local children’s home and the homeless around town with iftar and singgah sahur meals, thus amplifying the impact of our Ihya’ Ramadan programme.


Themed “Community AI Resources Employment,” the initiative encouraged students to explore AI-driven solutions tailored to community needs.


The latest accolade belongs to School of Biological Science senior lecturer Ms Hemalatha Murugaiah, who grabbed the Best Oral Presentation Award at the Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand Growth Triangle (IMTGT) Bioscience Conference 2025.


The collaboration will focus on two key research projects: investigating anti-ageing gene expression in human cells treated with a combination product; and evaluating the cell profileration effects of these compounds on normal and cancerous human cells.
