Like minded QIUP and Polyware ink MOU for betterment of the community

Quest International University Perak (QIUP) today inked an MOU with Polyware Sdn Bhd at a ceremony held at QIUP campus in Ipoh.

Signing on behalf of QIUP was Mr. Nicholas Goh, Chief Operating Officer while Chief Executive Officer, Mr Chong Yeong Ming signed on behalf of Polyware Sdn Bhd.

Mr. Nicholas Goh conveyed his desire to see QIUP play an important role in developing the community and be a focal point in helping the shape the community and nation.

“The signing of the MOU today will ensure our students are job-ready with the partnership with a reputable company like Polyware where students will have the opportunity to learn first-hand the technology used. But more than just ensuring opportunities for our students, I want our students to learn what it means to serve the community.

“This is the reason QIUP inks MOUs with the various industries in Ipoh ranging from manufacturing, agriculture, fisheries and many more. I want to expose students to the myriad challenges faced by the various industries in the community and challenge them to find solutions to overcome them. In this way, not only will they be relevant and job-ready, but they will also be useful to the community” added Mr. Nicholas Goh.

Mr. Chong shared that this MOU signing is very apt and in line with his vision of Polyware University where the company believes in giving back to the community .

“Although we are a manufacturing company, we also call ourselves Polyware University and this often confuses people. We strongly believe that we need to nurture the environment and give back to the community where we do our business.

“In essence, we want to be part of the community. I am very glad that QIUP also shares the vision to be part of the community and working with them will ensure we help to pass our knowledge to the students who are the future leaders of  the world” said Mr. Chong.

Polyware Sdn Bhd, which is incorporated in Malaysia in December 1996 when a group of entrepreneurs, engineers, mould makers and production personnel came together and shared their respective expertise and experiences. The factory manufacturing all types of pipe fittings used in water utilities and irrigation systems.

An ISO 9001:2000 certified company since 2002, Polyware continues to actively involved in all kinds of development and manufacturing role as a leading thermoplastic pipe fittings manufacturer in Malaysia and is located in Ipoh.
