QUEST International University celebrates graduation of students at 4th Convocation ceremony

Quest International University held its fourth Convocation ceremony on 18 November, honouring the achievements of 293 new graduates from a total of 17 Master’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma programmes.

The graduation event, held on a joyous afternoon at the Casuarina@Meru hotel, was presided over by the Chairman of Quest University’s Council, Dato’ Sri Dr. Vijay Eswaran.

Degrees were awarded to students from four faculties, namely the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Science and Technology.

The graduates pursued programmes in fields of Medicine, Business Administration, Accountancy, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Finance, Hotel Management, Teaching English as Second Language (TESL), Corporate Communications, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Electronics Engineering and Information Technology.

Six students received First Class Honours and Distinction degrees after displaying outstanding academic achievements during their course of study.

The day was extra special for Bachelor of Finance (Hons.) graduate Ms Yugeethra a/p Elanggova Kumar, after she was announced as the Valedictorian for the 2018 convocation. In honour of her achievement, Yugeethra was presented with the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement award by Dr Vijay Eswaran.

Quest University, in partnership with the State Government of Perak, is recognized today as providing a gold standard education model. Almost all of its’ graduates have found employment with reputable companies after completing their studies.  Its’ rapid growth over the last seven years has been nothing short of extraordinary; an achievement undoubtedly credited to an excellent team that is dedicated and that has capitalized on an industry niche.

QIUP opened for its first intake in September 2011 with four programmes, namely Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Business Administration, and Foundation in Science and Foundation in Business. Today, the University offers 40 programs in Foundation, Diploma, Bachelors and Post Graduate with a student population of nearly 2,000.

QIUP is living up to its international reputation with students from 36 countries enrolled in various courses at the University. It is recognized as a leading institution of higher learning in this part of the world – offering a full range of undergraduate majors, Master’s degrees, and doctoral programmes.

The convocation was attended by 1,000 people made up of QIUP Council members, faculty members, senior Perak state government officials, and students as well as their families.
