When it comes to forming healthy lifestyle habits, it’s always best to start as early as possible. At QIU, we’re well aware of this fact, and we believe it’s vital to educate our youth about the simple ways they can start leading a healthier life.
Last weekend, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and QIU’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Steering Committee joined forces to host a Health and Wellness Guide workshop designed specifically for local youths.
Held at Ipoh’s SMK Seri Puteri, the workshop aimed to help students understand the importance of health and wellness in everyday life, and develop positive attitudes for overall well-being.
It described healthy eating habits, exercises and outdoor activities to boost wellness that can help ensure good health.

During the talk, our speakers also covered positive attitudes, loving yourself, fighting anxiety, the importance of a well-balanced diet and drinking enough water—things we can do to make changes every day.
Among others, this activity targeted SDG 3-Good Health & Well-Being, and will certainly go a long way in inculcating healthy habits among the participants. Kudos all around!
