Congratulations to the Faculty of Pharmacy on the graduation of our latest batch of newly minted pharmacists during the 7th Convocation Ceremony—and their first valedictorian! Leo Shann Ling was named valedictorian for her first-class grades, natural flair for leadership, and a keen sense of community service unmatched by her peers. For her outstanding efforts, she received QIU’s top scholastic prize – the Dato’ Sri Vijay Eswaran Award 2023. Some of her standout achievements include:
- serving as the organising chairperson of our public health campaign in 2020;
- placing her undergraduate research in the respected peer-reviewed journal Progress in Drug Discovery & Biomedical Science;
- and most recently, receiving the Malaysian Pharmacists Society–Duopharma Biotech Gold Medal for Best Pharmacy Graduate.
