FBM and Ray of Hope Strengthens Partnership with Family Day 2025 Bowling Bash

The Faculty of Business and Management (FBM) continued its commitment to social responsibility by organising a fun-filled bowling event with the Ray of Hope, an NGO dedicated to training individuals with learning disabilities.

This collaboration was highlighted through the second annual Family Day hosted recently, at Ipoh’s Ampang Superbowl. This heartwarming event brought together staff, their families, and members of the Ray of Hope community for a day of bonding, fun, and meaningful collaboration.

The initiative reinforces FBM’s dedication to fostering unity, empathy, and leadership among students. By engaging with the Ray of Hope community, QIU members had the opportunity to interact with individuals of different abilities, promoting awareness and inclusivity.

Additionally, the event aligns with QIU’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by emphasizing quality education (SDG 4), lifelong learning and well-being (SDG 3), and global partnerships (SDG 17). Through this collaboration, both organisations continued to build stronger ties while making a lasting social impact.

Organised under QIU’s SDG Leadership Cluster and spearheaded by Professor Dr. Abdul Raheem bin Mohamad Yusof, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management, the Family Day celebration demonstrated QIU’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, and 17, reinforcing its dedication to education, well-being, and impactful collaborations. The partnership with the Ray of Hope has now become an integral part of QIU’s annual calendar.

More than just a bowling session, the event embodied the spirit of unity and inclusivity. Building on the success of its inaugural edition in 2024, this year’s Family Day further solidified QIU’s commitment to fostering a culture of care and collaboration. By bringing together staff, their loved ones, and community members, QIU continues to demonstrate the power of partnerships in driving positive change.

As participants left with smiles and fond memories, the event reinforced the importance of working together toward a shared future. The team looks forward to expanding this initiative and making future Family Day celebrations more impactful.
