Benjamin Franklin once wrote this: “…in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” This (the latter, not the former) was emphasised when Mr Renganathan spoke on “The Heat of Tax”. He showed a deep understanding of the entire tax ecosystem and encouraged students, especially those undertaking an accounting degree, to be familiar with the evolution of the country’s tax laws. This, Mr Renganathan stressed, makes for a well-grounded accountant.
