Professor Dr Wang Hui graduated from the Department of Special Education in the Faculty of Education, Beijing Normal University in 1990, making her one of the first undergraduate degree holders in Special Education in China. Currently, she serves as a member of the Academic Committee at Nanjing Normal University for Special Education.

- Of the above, ‘Behaviour Modification Techniques’ and ‘Diagnostic and Evaluative Studies of Children with Special Needs are provincial and institutional-quality courses led by the instructor. ‘Sensory Perception Training for Children with Special Needs’ is the only professional course offered in similar majors nationwide.

Professor Dr Wang Hui has won more than twenty teaching and research awards at the national and provincial levels, including two national and five provincial teaching achievement awards. She has edited three national and Jiangsu Province-quality textbooks, and two key textbooks for Jiangsu Province’s colleges and universities.
She has developed three sets of developmental assessment tools, including assessment tools for students with special needs in regular schools. She has led/participated in more than twenty national and provincial-level research projects, such as ‘Research on Curriculum Construction in Special Education Schools under the Background of Inclusive Education’.
She has published over 60 papers in journals such as ‘Educational Research’ and ‘Chinese Special Education’. She has also authored/edited 19 books and textbooks, including:
