The Admission Policy and Mechanism is Free from Discrimination and Bias

The University has adopted an equal opportunity policy that is committed to ensuring that no potential student receives prejudicial treatment on the basis of age, colour, creed, disability, ethnic origin, gender, marital status, nationality, race, sexual orientation or social class or is disadvantaged by requirements, peer and employee’s attitudes or behaviour that cannot be seen as justifiable.

Neither is there a quota system based on the above criteria.

This policy establishes the university’s affirmation on the right of all qualified individuals to equal access opportunities to education. All applications to any of our academic programmes will strictly be assessed based on the applicant’s academic standing.

Any individual who acts to deny, deprive or limit such access is in violation of the university’s policy on non-discrimination for admission.

The university will consider the report of any individual who has reason to believe s/he or an applicant has been discriminated against in relation to admission to an academic programme. Reports of discrimination may be submitted to the Registrar. “

Please note that for certain programmes, such as pharmacy and medical programmes, our commitment to admission is governed by criteria set by the Professional Boards, Malaysian Medical Council, the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia Qualification Agency as well as the immigration authorities.
