The Master of Education programme is designed for educators, leaders and professionals from various industries who wish to obtain a post-graduate qualification in the field of education. The programme is designed to prepare candidates to meet the demands of 21st century education, and offers the degree in three areas of specialisation:

  • E -learning
  • Educational Management
  • Learning and Development
Bachelors’ DegreeI) A Bachelor’s degree in the field or a related field of study with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent, as accepted by the Senate

OR

II) A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with a CGPA below 2.50 may be accepted, subject to a minimum five (5) years’ work experience in a relevant field
Candidates without qualifications or work experience in a related field must undertake the prerequisite courses* determined by QIU and meet the minimum CGPA based on (I) to (II).

Specialization OfferedE-learning

The e-Learning programme is designed for learners or professionals who wish to pursue careers in teaching and learning through the use of technology tools and the Internet of Things (IOT).

It is designed to give graduates the up-to-date skills and knowledge sought by employers engaged in the use of digital technologies in teaching and learning.

Students taking this specialisation will gain an in-depth understanding of:

  • e-Learning Ecologies
  • Seminar in Education
  • Trends, Issues, and Challenges in e-Learning
Educational Management

The programme provides a solid foundation in some of the key strategic and international management issues confronting organisations today.

Candidates for this specialisation include:

  • School principals

  • Individuals in leadership positions at learning institutions

Students will gain an in-depth understanding of:
