Programme Level

Early childhood educators play a key role in preparing young children for life-long learning. As an Early Childhood Education student, you will focus on the education and care of children from their infancy to when they are eight years old. Our Diploma in Early Childhood Education programme provides you with the fundamental knowledge, skills and competencies you require to nurture the physical and social skills of young children, as well as their emotional, cognitive and creative development.

Our Diploma programme has a strong practical learning focus. It includes a 12-weeks Practicum placement that allows you to apply what you have learned in a real setting. When you graduate, you will be ready to work in a variety of settings such as day-cares, preschools, government and non-government child and family organisations, or even establish and manage a child-care centre of your own.
