Teaching and Research Experience

With more than 4 years of industrial experience in corporate communication, I bring valuable insights and expertise to my teaching and research journey.

I am currently a PhD (Human Communication) Candidate in Universiti Putra Malaysia, with special interest in health and risk communication. My master research focused on corporate/ organisational communication.

I have accumulated two years of teaching experience at New Era University College: Communication Research Methods, Advertising, Mass Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Additionally, I have had the privilege of delivering lectures at SEGI University & College for Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi’s “Career Advancement Programme” – Entrepreneurship and Small Business Startup.

I have also conducted a study at Sunway Medical Centre Velocity on the topic of Risk Information Seeking About COVID-19 Among Healthcare Workers. This research initiative allowed me to delve into an important area of study and contribute to the growing body of knowledge in healthcare communication.

Furthermore, my research has been accepted and presented at international conferences. Firstly, my research on the “Motivation for Risk Information Seeking About COVID-19 Among Healthcare Workers: Cross-sectional Survey Study” was accepted and presented at the virtual World Communication Association (WCA) Conference 2021, titled “Communicating for Our Future.” Secondly, my conceptual paper on “Social Norms: Is This Approach Grant Enough In Health Communication” was accepted and presented at World Communication Association(WCA) Biennial Conference 2023, held in Honolulu, Hawaii.

In addition to my teaching and research endeavours, I am currently engaged in collaborative research with the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Wisconsin-Madison, further expanding my network and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field,
