This course will help participants to learn how to critically evaluate educational literature. Participants should be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of education, resolve conflicting results in education and express knowledge of education in discussion and written form.

  1. Compare past and present perspectives in education settings
  2. Discriminate the latest trends in education
  3. Compose research gaps on education using critical thinking skills
  4.  Evaluate the central issues in the field of education

Target Audience:

Postgraduate Candidates, Educator from other Institutions and Public

Entry Requirements:

There is no entry qualification if the applicant enrols in the course for upskilling purposes or to upgrade knowledge or expertise and does not intend to continue with the Master of Education.

If the applicant enrols in the course with the objective of obtaining the Master of Education qualification, he/she must fulfil the following entry qualifications:

  1.  A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) in the field or related fields with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the Higher Education Provider (HEP) Senate; or
  2. A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MQF) in the field or related fields or equivqlent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment;
  3. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA based on (I) and (II).
