Academic Publication Funding

Quest International University (QIU) is committed to fostering a research-driven academic environment. To encourage and support academic staff in publishing high-quality research, the university provides Academic Publication Funding (APF). This funding aims to facilitate research dissemination through indexed and reputable academic journals.

Publication Reward Scheme

Quest International University (QIU) has introduced a Publication Reward Scheme to encourage staff to publish in indexed and high-impact journals. This initiative aims to drive a culture of excellence in research, leading to enhanced visibility, improved collaboration, and better institutional ranking.

How to Write Acknowledgements for a Publication?

Publications must include proper acknowledgements to funders. This includes:
  1. Acknowledging all funding sources, whether internal or external, including institutions or organisations that provided support for the publication fee. Specify the names of the funding bodies and include grant names and codes if relevant.
  2. Example of writing the acknowledgement: “This publication is supported by Quest International University under the QIU Academic Publication Funding”.
  3. For acknowledgements involving more than one funding provider (ministries/agencies), it is necessary to state the largest funding provider first, followed by the other funding sources. Example Acknowledgement: “The authors would like to acknowledge the financial support from the Ministry of Education Malaysia under the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) (FRGS/1/202x/xxxxx/QIU/xx/x) and supported by Quest International University under the QIU Academic Publication Funding
  4. The inclusion of industry co-authors in articles is highly encouraged to foster collaborative research.
