Pre-conference Workshops

Join us on this enlightening journey as we bridge the gap between theory and practice, the following workshops aim to equip researchers with knowledge needed to excel in their respective fields.

Workshop 1 : From Theory to Practice: SmartPLS 4.0 Workshop for Effective Modelling

The workshop aims is to give participants the fundamental knowledge and abilities they need to use SmartPLS 4.0 software for advanced statistical modelling in research and business applications. This program, which emphasises practical applications through the use of SmartPLS 4.0, provides a thorough understanding of the theoretical foundations of structural equation modelling (SEM) under the direction of Prof. T. Ramayah. The program interface, data import, model building and validation, result interpretation, and effective communication will all be covered for participants.

Attendees will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to use SmartPLS 4.0 for reliable and insightful modelling through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and guided activities. This will allow them to improve decision-making processes and drive impactful outcomes in their respective fields.

Workshop 2 : Analysing Qualitative Data: Engaging with NVivo

Proudly organized by Quest International University (QIU) and supported by the Qualitative Research Association of Malaysia (QRAM), “Analysing Qualitative Data: Engaging with NVivo” is a one-day workshop designed to equip participants with the foundational knowledge of qualitative data analysis as well as fundamental skills for qualitative analysis using the NVivo software.

Participants will learn how to import, organize, and manage qualitative data within the NVivo platform, gaining insights into effective coding strategies and thematic analysis methods. Practical exercises and hands-on activities will enable attendees to explore NVivo’s tools for data visualization, text mining, and query building, empowering them to extract meaningful interpretations from their qualitative data sets.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will have acquired essential skills to conduct rigorous qualitative analysis efficiently and effectively using NVivo.
