Learning OUTCOMES
At the beginner level, children will be able to:
- Read and write simple sentences in English
- Enhance phonics skills by sounding out simple words
- Understand short conversations
At the intermediate level, children will be able to:
- Understand English through activities
and stories - Develop writing skills to
understand simple sentences - Improve grammar
skills by using basic question techniques
At the higher level, children will be able to:
- Understand longer texts about everyday topics
- Write short stories and short messages
- Create fun and engaging stories
- Prepare early for Cambridge Young Learners (YLE) (Starters, Movers, Flyers)
Pre-entry Requirements
Learners must take a placement test to determine which level they should start at.
Assessment
With no pass or fail grade, the internal assessment is conducted to measure a student’s performance in relation to the programme objective and readiness to sit for the Cambridge exam.
Cambridge English Exam
Upon successful completion of this programme, students can opt to sit for the appropriate Cambridge Assessment English examination.
