{"id":59278,"date":"2026-07-13T09:04:58","date_gmt":"2026-07-13T01:04:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/qiu.edu.my\/cri\/?post_type=events&#038;p=59278"},"modified":"2026-07-13T09:07:06","modified_gmt":"2026-07-13T01:07:06","slug":"pantai-hospital-ipoh-research-day-2026","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/qiu.edu.my\/cri\/events\/pantai-hospital-ipoh-research-day-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Pantai Hospital Ipoh Research Day 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The participation of the Centre for Stem Cell Research (CSCR), Quest International<br>University (QIU), in the Pantai Hospital Ipoh Research Day 2026 on 23 June 2026 marked<br>an important milestone in strengthening academic\u2013clinical research collaborations and<br>advancing translational cancer research in Malaysia.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Representing CSCR, the Centre Director, Dr. Koh Cai Ping, presented the centre&#8217;s first<br>collaborative stem cell research project with Pantai Hospital Ipoh, highlighting QIU&#8217;s growing<br>expertise in stem cell biology and cancer immunotherapy. The presentation featured the<br>establishment of cord-derived hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) and mesenchymal stem cell<br>(MSC) platforms for generating cytotoxic innate lymphoid cell type 3 (ILC3)-like cells, with<br>promising potential for anti-colorectal cancer therapy.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond showcasing the research findings, the event provided an excellent platform to<br>enhance the visibility of QIU&#8217;s expertise and capabilities in advanced cell-based therapeutic<br>research. The study demonstrated the University&#8217;s capacity to develop HSCs, MSCs, and<br>ILC3-like cells, reinforcing its commitment to advancing innovative immunotherapy research.<br>The event also underscored CSCR&#8217;s role as a dynamic and rapidly growing research centre<br>committed to innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful engagement with<br>healthcare institutions.
