The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) has opened the\u00a0Public-Private Research\u00a0Grant\u00a0Network 2.0 (PPRN\u00a02.0)\u00a0grant\u00a0for cycle 2\/2024.\u00a0PPRN\u00a02.0 is\u00a0an\u00a0initiative of\u00a0MOHE\u00a0to\u00a0foster\u00a0strategic\u00a0cooperation between industry\u00a0and\u00a0academia, with the support\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Ministry and other government agencies, to increase productivity and strengthen economic growth through\u00a0matching\u00a0grants\u00a0for innovative projects that are demand-driven and have commercial potential.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Scope:\u00a0<\/p>\n
1) Product Innovation:\u00a0to improve or add value to existing products, especially industry-based technology or towards certification.<\/p>\n
2) Process Innovation:\u00a0to improve the production process products, source components; warehouse; logistics; method of delivery or services to coordinate as well as make it more efficient and effective in line with the development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (The Fourth Industrial Revolution – IR 4.0).<\/p>\n
Grant\u00a0submission details are as follows:<\/p>\n
Date of\u00a0opening:\u00a013th May 2024<\/p>\n
Submission to CRI (via the system):\u00a031 May 2024<\/p>\n
Proposal Evaluation and Amendments:\u00a01-13 June 2024<\/p>\n
Submission to MOHE:\u00a014th June 2024<\/p>\n
Application to be submitted online through:\u00a0https:\/\/epprn.mohe.gov.my\/<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Projects that will not be considered by\u00a0PPRN:<\/p>\n
1) Off-the-shelf solutions or technology solutions that already exist in the market<\/p>\n
2) Involve marketing or business management<\/p>\n
3) Projects that are fundamental or exploratory<\/p>\n
4) Projects in the clinical trials stage<\/p>\n
5) Consultancy projects<\/p>\n
6) Projects involve application and payment for obtaining certificates such as Halal, ISO and others<\/p>\n
7) Projects that need to travel abroad<\/p>\n
8) Projects that need to purchase facilities and assets as a solution<\/p>\n
